This was a peaceful and lovely place. For those of you who have never heard of it, Beaune is in the Burgundy region in a northwestern part of France. The city of Dijon (like the yummy mustard) is close by. I love all red wines, so I really enjoyed the wine tasting in Caves des Cordeliers. Excellent hostess and wine. We had a cute hotel to stay in with pretty flower boxes. Dinner that night was coq au vin. I wish it would taste this good when I make it at home. The market the next morning was fun to walk around. Great produce, cheese, bread and more. Thanks to help from my great tour guide, Christoph, I was able to call home and talk to my kids. My youngest misses me, my teenagers, not so much! Next stop, Lauterbrunnen Valley,Switzerland.
